jgvhjvhjvhj Description PDF Really like the wheel from TheSloppyApprentice's Watermill and was looking for ways to hold it besides that large frame in the source. So I could make it stand in a bassin or hang under some opening where water is dropping off. So here are 2 lightweight alternatives. Both work with the original wheel. Get the .stl from the source, link above. Print wheel_1 and wheel_2, glue them together, print and insert the shaft (carefully) so that it stands out at both ends equally. Now you can put that on gestaenge which is a base plate with 2 arms to hold both ends of the shaft. Test it under a tap, it runs rather fast under a line of flowing water. The second can be screwed under a hanging bottle (European standard softdrink or mineral water bottles work and the 1-Liter liquid bottles from vaping fit nicely, too). The base plate is at the top here and has a hole at the center where the top of the bottle goes through. now you can screw the bottles cap on it and it is fixed. That won't let water flow, so just drive a hole into that cap. Be careful when inserting the wheel into the rings that hold the shaft, at least when printed in PLA they break easily. As to printing, the wheel profits from 4 perimeters and high infill which helps to make the axis more stable. Both haenger and gestaenge will test your stringing. Again, a higher perimeters value will help keep the arms strong. I did it in PLA but it might work even better in ABS or something less brittle. FreeCAD sources are included so you can adapt things to your needs and ideas. Have fun! etsetestb kjbb i o http://makertouch.com/product/edit/21/ dfrghdhg
